Can I make a reservation?

Certainly! For a pitch on the campsite or for rental accommodation, you can fill in our reservation form.
No reservation can be made for the motorhome stopover.

How can I pay?

You can pay in cash or by bank card/bank application.

Both your stay at the campsite and other items (purchases of bread and croissants, drinks from the bar, etc.) can be settled together at the end of your stay. Any deposit paid will be deducted at that time.

Can I also stay on the campsite with a motorhome and what is the difference with the motorhome stopover?

Of course, motorhomes are welcome on the campsite! Our pitches are partially reinforced to ensure that you are stable with the motorhome and do not get stuck, even in bad weather conditions.

The motorhome stopover opposite the campsite is intended for autonomous overnight stays, meaning without using the campsite's sanitary facilities, at a very attractive rate of 10 euros. This includes electricity and all taxes. Service (filling fresh water and disposal of grey and black water) is possible at the campsite for 3 euros.

At the motorhome stopover, you can arrive late at night or leave early in the morning and you do not have to wait for the gate to open, as is the case at the campsite. You can register and pay at the campsite reception between 8am and 12pm and between 1pm and 7pm (or until 10pm if you arrive after 7pm and leave before 8am).

If you do want to use the campsite's sanitary facilities, this is at the campsite's rates. Filling and disposal of water is in that case included.

Do you have a service point for motorhomes?

Yes, in 2024 we invested in the construction of a real drain canal for grey water. You drive the motorhome over the gutter and let your grey water flow into the sewer.
There is also a water point to fill the motorhome with fresh drinking water. Watering cans or water bottles can also be filled there.
Emptying the chemical cassette can be done in the red-brown toilet in the sanitary building.

The service is free for guests staying at the campsite and for motorhomes who opted for the campsite rate on the motorhome stopover. Motorhomes who stay overnight autonomously on the motorhome stopover at 10 euros pay 3 euros for a full service (filling fresh water and disposal of grey and black water).

Do you have a bar?

Yes. We call our bar an 'aperitif bar'. This means that the bar and terrace are open mid-afternoon, you can find the opening hours next to the bar. If we close the bar, feel free to stay on our terrace, to enjoy the conversations with the other guests.

In addition to our specialty, a selection of the best Belgian beers, we also offer soft drinks, wine and ice creams.

Outside the bar's opening hours, you can always get a drink or an ice cream to go.

Do you offer meals?

Every now and then we organize a pizza evening. There is no fixed day for this, we announce this on site at least 1 day in advance.

We also try to host a food truck at least once a week. This will also be announced at least 1 day in advance.

You can find the restaurants in the area via this link.

To do your shopping, you can go to the supermarkets in the area. These can be reached by bike, but you can also go to the supermarkets on your way to us with the motorhome, as they all have large parking lots.

For breakfast we offer a bread service, except on Mondays, when the bakery is closed.

Is there Wi-Fi?

Yes. There is (free) Wi-Fi throughout the campsite. You will receive a voucher that gives you access to our Wi-Fi network.

There is no Wi-Fi on the motorhome stopover.

Is there electricity and how many amps?

All pitches are equipped with a CEE socket. Some pitches share 10 amps, other pitches have the full 10 amps.

On the motorhome stopover there is 10 Amps per 2 pitches.

Electricity is not free on the campsite. Please consult our rates.

Charging of an electric car is not included and is only possible with our approval.

Can you walk and cycle in the area?

Yes, our campsite is located in a beautiful and gently rolling cycling and walking area. Walking and cycling maps are available at the reception or via this link.

For other trips and markets, you will find inspiration in these sections.

Are dogs allowed in the river?

Absolutely! The river is for everyone. Of course, everyone must take the others into account. Some swimmers are afraid of dogs and fishing lines can be dangerous for dogs. So always check where and when you can play with your dog in the river. There are shallow and deeper parts of the river. So a bit of everything for everyone, but be respectful of others.

Is fishing allowed in the river?

Yes, you do need to purchase a permit. The prices and how to purchase one can be found via this link.

Fishermen and swimmers often have different interests. Try to give each other the necessary space. Fishing is possible in various places on the river, we can give you advice on this. Respect the other users of the river.

Where can we walk the dog?

This is possible in various places, of course outside the campsite.

The field next to our campsite, accessible from the river, is the tent field of the campsite next to us, it is not allowed to walk or play with your dog there.

Our parking lot and motorhome stopover are also not for walking dogs.

Just past our motorhome stopover there is a large public area where your dog can run and play if desired.

You can find the various walks in the area via this link. Even though there are several field roads where you can let your dog off the leash, in principle it is prohibited and certainly in the period when many animals are born, there are heavy fines. After all, your dog can disturb growing wildlife.

Please clean up dog poop, also on the road and in the verges. Unfortunately, as the season progresses, we see more and more dog poop in the area.

Why is there a minimum age of 12 years?

We are a very small campsite and there are no facilities for small children. We noticed in the past that this turned e.g. the sanitary building into a playground. Most guests visiting us are looking for a small campsite to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. In order to be able to offer this to the fullest, we have decided to introduce a minimum age of 12 years.

Why is it not allowed to use a carpet?

In the past, we noticed that when using a carpet (even a water-permeable one), the pitch was often left with grass that was suffocated. For the next guests, this meant that the grass was no longer strong enough and that the spot where the carpet was placed ended up as a sandy area. Because this is of course anything but pleasant, we have laid artificial grass ourselves in the place where a carpet is normally placed. This way, not a different part is covered each time and you still have the advantage of a carpet. And your own carpet stays neatly in your storage room ;).

Can I also visit your campsite as a person with disability?

Yes. The sanitary building is accessible via a ramp with a wheelchair or for less mobile people for whom stairs are too difficult. Both a toilet and a shower with washbasin are in an extra large space that is accessible with a wheelchair. The washbasin and mirror have also been adjusted in height. The shower has a hand shower and if necessary we can provide a chair to shower while sitting.

The rental caravans and lodges all have stairs and are therefore not wheelchair accessible.

Is there a risk of flooding?

In winter, the river will slowly overflow its banks 2 to 3 times. During the camping season, this can also happen in very exceptional circumstances. In periods of extremely heavy rain, we keep a close eye on the river level, so that there is never a risk to our guests. Due to the vast and relatively flat surroundings and because we are not directly surrounded by mountains, the river rises very slowly, so that there are no acute situations. We can make an estimate at least 24 hours in advance and if there is the slightest doubt we will inform you and take action.

Can we rent a boat to go kayaking and can we do that with our own boat?

The river l'Ognon is ideal for kayaking, also for people with little experience. There is little current and in some places you even feel like you are on a lake.

We agree on a time of departure and we take you, the boat(s) and your equipment with our car to the departure point upstream. After the kayak trip you will arrive at the beach at the campsite.

The possibility depends on the level of the river, if the water level is too high or too low kayak trips are not possible.

We offer 2 departure points: Aulx-les-Cromary (7 km/2.5 hours) or Chambornay (10 km/3.5 hours). This way you can take all the time for the return trip to the campsite. On the way you can take a break if you wish and a picnic can be taken in the watertight barrel that is provided.
There are 2 level differences in the river, practical tips on how to best take these 'barrages' are explained and shown on a map before you start the trip.

If you want to kayak with your dog, your four-legged friend can of course also join you in the car!

The prices of the trips can be found via this link.

Even if you are not staying at our campsite, you can book one of our kayak trips.

If you have your own kayak or canoe, we can inform you about the various possible trips. Do you need transport for your boat to the departure point? If necessary, we can take you to the departure point for a previously agreed fee. The use of our paddles and/or life jackets and/or waterproof barrel is not possible when you use your own boat.

Can I take public transport to Besançon?

In theory yes, but in practice we notice that this is not obvious. There are few possible slots to take the bus and they often seem to be cancelled. So it is possible, but with a proviso ;).
For those who want to ride to Besançon by (electric) bike, you will find the best route via Chatillon-le-Duc and Ecole-Valentin.
You can also go by motorhome, there are large parking lots on the edge of the city, often even for free.

Where can I find your sales conditions?

You can find them via this link.
